Alec Wheeler, Consulting Business Owner | Born in Vancouver, BC and raised in the small fishing village of Sointula, Alec currently resides in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. In her early career, Alec's adaptability and hunger for challenge enabled her to pursue opportunities in Portugal, New York, Barbados, New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica and beyond. A combined 15+ years of professional experience in non-profit, local government and small business service sectors have equipped Alec with a diverse portfolio of skills and expertise. An avid volunteer and active member of her community, Alec has served as an Assembly Member with the Duncan-North Cowichan Citizens' Assembly on Municipal Amalgamation, a board member with the Duncan-Cowichan Festival Society, and is currently the Vice-President of Vimy Western Riding Club. In 2021, Alec stepped down from three impactful years as Events & Membership Manager with the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce to launch COMMELEON.
